The 27th PP Mong Trust Dohne Merino and Hereford Production sale took place on the 1ste of June at Florina Farm, Villiersdorp.
It was a successful sale with excellent prices achieved on the sale. The offer consisted of Dohne Merino Rams, Hereford Bulls, Heifers and pregnant heifers.
The most expensive Dohne Merino Ram was sold for R26 000 to Josias le Roux from Langhoogte Plase, Caledon. The average on the rams was R12 487.
The most expensive Hereford Bull was sold for R58 000 to Gerhardt & Verna Botha from Barkley East. The average on the bulls was R42 000.
The most expensive heifers were sold for R30 000 to Bennie van As from Roberston. The average on the heifers was R26 000.
The most expensive pregnant heifers were sold for R34 000 to Lodewyk Fourie from Schweizer Reneke. The average on the pregnant heifers was R26 000.
